1.14.19 Stream Report

Fishing was great this weekend with the warmer temps. Our guide Aaron was out with clients yesterday and they caught 10 fish or so on small nymphs before noon.  It slowed down a bit for them in the afternoon. Water conditions are great right now.

We were out this morning on some new water and streamers were the ticket with the low clouds and darker skies! We caught 10 or so fish this morning.

Here is a report from a customer of ours that fished the Kinni this weekend.
“There was some great dry fly action this weekend on the Lower Kinni. I started fishing midge nymphs and leeches, low and slow, but the bite was pretty minimal from around 10-noon. Some fish were found in the deeper pools, and some were in sidewalk-paced water in the riffles. Around noon the bite really turned on. Adjacent to the faster riffles in the slack water, midges were hatching and trout were rising. The takes were delicate and the presentations required drag-free drifts and small flies. Anything bigger than a #20 was too big. This warm January weather is creating some great fishing conditions. Get out and fish!”
