Well, its been cold. I have not really heard of many folks fishing in the last few weeks so I don’t have much to report. It is looking like next week the temps will come back up to fishable levels again! There will most likely be quite a bit of shelf ice out there after a few weeks of very cold temps. The smaller creeks closer to the source of the springs will have much less shelf ice than say the lower stretches of the Rush river. Midges and scuds work great under a strike indicator for winter trout fishing.
