It was a tricky one out there this weekend with the ice cover on the rivers but people did find open water to fish and from what I saw on social media plenty of fish were caught! We are going back into colder temps again and whatever ice went away this weekend will grow back again most likely. Even with the super cold temps last week folks found streams out there with little to no ice on them. Our guide Aaron found a section of the Trimbelle that was unaffected by last weeks freeze and was wide open to fish. I did hear from a number of folks that the fish were very spooky this weekend with the crunchy snow underfoot. Hang in there folks, we are more than halfway through winter and daytime temps will be on the rise soon.
