It’s go time folks!!! We are so excited, FINALLY. Temps in the 30’s and low 40’s on the way. This means that some excellent trout fishing weather coming up, not too warm to melt much snow, but plenty warm to be out fishing. The key will success will be getting out earlier in the mornings before any mid day melt starts creeping into the streams. Bring a thermometer with you and it will tell you if the bite will be good or really slow. Water temps in the high 30’s and low 40’s and above are good, temps below 36-37 degrees ish will mean a slower bite. Steelhead season opens up March 30th on the Brule so make sure you have everything in order for that as well. Check out that forecast and a photo of a nice streamer eating brown from last March. Don’t forget to renew your Minnesota Fishing license, it expired Feb 28th. You will need to renew your Wisconsin fishing license at the end of this month. Most importantly get out there and enjoy the great fishing, breath some fresh air and smile.
