9.14.18 Stream Report

Only one month left in the trout seasons of Wisconsin and Minnesota!! Get out there and fish!!  Trout streams are in great shape right now.  Ants and beetles as well as hoppers are still working well with the warm weather we have been having. A few tricos are still out and about in the early ish mornings.

In a few weeks when the weather cools off we should start seeing BWO’s hatching again. On cloudy cool days throw a streamer and you may get rewarded BIG time. Don’t forget that the three state parks in Minnesota stay open year round for trout fishing. That would be Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park, Whitewater State Park and Beaver Creek State Park. Any of the streams within the boundaries of these parks you can fish year round with catch and release through the winter.
